Greg McGREGOR LEISHMAN Obituary

McGREGOR LEISHMAN Greg slipped away on January 24, 2014 at home in Oakville, his sense of humour, devotion to family and ability to make everyone feel special never wavering. Loving husband of Burleigh (nee Ballantyne), for 67 years; they were hardly ever apart. Beloved father of Chris, who passed away suddenly in 2011, Tim (Eleanor Misener), Wendy, Heather (John McLarty), and "little brother" Steve Douglas (Liz). Proud Papa of Melanie, Andrew, Jenny, Michael, Leah, Max, Hugh, Maryanne, Michael and Sara. Predeceased by older brothers Ted and his wife Patricia and Sandy (Jean). Born in Toronto on October 13, 1931, Greg spent his career with Cassels Blaikie & Co. in Toronto. He spent as much time as possible in Go Home Bay, a special place he loved so much. The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Gabriel for his outstanding care and compassion and Joanne and Ben for their commitment and kindness. A private service and celebration will be held for family and close friends. Condolences can be shared by e-mail with the family at rememberinggregleishman @gmail.com

I was so sad to hear this news, but filled with fond memories of my "Uncle Greg" who played a big part in my life growing up at Chiltern and a summer spent with my younger cousins at Go Home Bay! I will never forget that smile and sense of humour that was always with you!
