Guenther Schemeit Obituary
SCHEMEIT, Guenther Harry - Due to a tragic automobile accident Guenther Schemeit passed away suddenly, in his 82nd year, on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in St. Catharines. Dearly beloved husband of Eva Schemeit, father of Karin (Larry), Kimberley (John) and Mark (Natalie). Grandfather of Hannah and Sebastian. Brother of Edelgard and Kurt. Uncle of Dirk and Antje. Uncle of Jacquie and Conny. Guenther was a man of great character, a man of God with a great desire to learn about others whether it was through his endeavours to help them, meet them or share his stories and witty ideas. He will always be known as a great storyteller, selfless volunteer, lover of music, loving parent and husband. A Memorial Service will be held at St. George's Lutheran Church at 410 College St., Toronto, Ontario, on Sunday, June 21 at 1:30 p.m.

Dear Schemeit Family - I am so sorry to hear about your terrible loss. Such a wonderful man will be missed by so many, and learning more about his life has been inspirational. My prayers go to all of you, M. Hoage (Emmy's neighbor).
