HARRY WILSON Obituary

WILSON, HARRY MORTON Harry passed peacefully, listening to barbershop music, at the age of 84. His love of singing, mischievous sense of humour, and enthusiasm for life will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Raised in East End/Beaches, the 2nd youngest of 7 kids, Harry had a strong sense of community and family. He attended Kimberley Public School and Danforth Tech, and lived in Toronto most of his life. Harry was very proud to have paddled for Balmy Beach Canoe Club. He was well known for his singing with the award-winning Dukes of Harmony, as well as the Techstyles, the Treblemakers, and Scarborough Fair, and as a constant friend at Harmony Ranch. Harry's talent as a performer, his easy smile and charm served him well in sales, real estate and hotel ownership, while his looks took him into modelling. He loved making people laugh and made new friends wherever he went. Passionate about golf and tennis, he had an awesome serve. Later in life, he took up sailing and spent time in the BVI. Harry loved the good life: family, friends, travel, food, wine, and - always - a good laugh. He was a fun guy to be around. A Celebration of Life is being planned.

Mr. Britten's Grade 6-7 class at Kimberley Public School. That memory of Harry even precedes my decades-long friendship with his sister, Isobel. Harry's smile will be his most-recalled feature, fun-loving and adventuresome, last seen aboard when sharing sailing stories. Rest in Peace, Friend.

As a young 17 year old lad singing barbershop I was always amazed with his talent and how easy he made everything look. His laughter and smile filled the room. You could always count on Harry to say something to make us laugh
