Harvey ASHWORTH Obituary

ASHWORTH, Harvey - Passed away suddenly on August 8, 2014 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Winter) for 66 years. Loving Dad of Susan and her husband Peter Lynes, Beverley Kathnelson and Cheryl Ashworth. Much loved Papa of Keely and her husband Adrian and Erin and her husband Jason. "Papa at the water" of Devyn and Keianna. A Celebration of Harvey's life will be held at the GLEN OAKS MEMORIAL CHAPEL AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, 905-257-8822, on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Halton or to Acclaim Health, Oakville. Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ashworth I came to know and cherish the friendship of Bev, his daughter. My heart goes out to her and the family at this time. My deepest sympathy for this sad loss.

I will always remember Harvey as a delightful man who loved Jean and his family with every heartbeat. He delighted in recognizing someone's inner child and honoured them with a wink of his eye. My heartfelt condolences to Jean and family.

I came home from the store yesterday, and, as always, glanced at the living room window to see if Harvey was there waving at me and blowing me kisses! I will miss that just as much as I will miss my kiss on the cheek from my "boyfriend"!
Something will forever be missing in this building without Harvey. My family and I are so blessed for having known him! Harvey, you were one of a kind! Thank you for 7 years of kisses!
