It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things
that help to push away the pain
and bring the smiles back again.

Helen is a remarkable woman, one I'll remember as focussing on the positive side of a situation, rather than the negative. It was a pleasure working with her.

Helen walked with me through life, she held my hand, she showed me the way. I am forever grateful that she was there for me. My life is richer for having known her. She gave me so much.

I have yet to meet someone of her generation with such an obvious zest for life. Her optimism will stay with me for the rest of my days. My deepest sympathies go out to Helen’s family and close friends as this is truly a sad day.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
