An exceptional educator with met the needs of her students. Helen was a model for other educators to follow as she demonstrated how to be organized, use activity based learning strategies and provide the best possible lessons for her students. As a friend and colleague, she gave support and words of encouragement when needed. Her creative talents and motivation to learn what she needed to learn was inspiring. She was determined to learn how to change her own tire if it got flat and I was with her to witness her do it. A life long learner. Thank you for the many lessons that helped me become a better teacher and person. I will miss my Scottish friend.

I am grateful to have known Helen through my family and her (near) family, the Rowans, and have had many conversations with her - especially about teaching. For as long as I can remember, I have been in the presence of a beautiful item she has knit for someone. Rest in peace, Helen.

Helen was a good friend. We worked in the same school and she always knew if I was having a bad day. She would stand in the office doorway and make faces at me until she saw me smiling. When my sons got married she put on a luncheon for them and would not accept anything in return. She was a good friend to me and my family I just spoke to her the other day. Rest in piece dear friend hope we will meet again one day. Ann De Sciscio.

Ms. Ellen Quinn was my mother's teaching partner for 17 years. They were an incredible team together and dear friends. Miss Quinn was passionate about teaching and her creative endeavours - her crafts and her garden. She will be missed terribly. I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the Quinn Family and to all those who knew her and loved her.

I would like to offer our deepest condolences to the Quinn family. Helen was a lovely person who created amazing crafts. She was always willing to help those she cared about and will be so missed. We just spoke with her a couple of weeks ago and can't believe she's gone. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
