HELEN ST. AMANT Obituary

HELEN ST. AMANT (nee THOMPSON) Passed away peacefully at the Hillcrest Village, Midland on Thursday, April 28, 2016, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Leo St. Amant. Dear mother of Gary and his wife Cynthia of Brampton. Grandmother to Michael, Danielle and Chantelle (Stephen). Great-grandmother of Brianna. Sister of the late Alma Dewes, Allan Thompson and Earl Thompson. Loving aunt of Deborah, Sonya, Perry, Peter, Paul Mount, Barb Marshall, Mickey and David Dewes and the late Nancy Kennedy. The family will receive friends at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Penetanguishene, on Sunday, May 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, May 2nd at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Ann's Cemetery on Tuesday, May 3rd at 11:30 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to the ALS Society would be appreciated.

The ladys in that lovely photo are top left Ena married Ken Watts, Anita, Olga married Lang Watts, Helen, Ruth Watts married John Daniels, Bea, don't know and the last is my Mum Joan Watts married George. Is she Joan Platt?

So many wonderful memories: Friends & family card tournaments in years past; Cookouts at "The Ranch"; Toronto Symphony evenings; The two of us laughing our way through visits in Penetang, sharing all the family stories of years gone by. Helen was not only my aunt, she was a wonderful friend.

Helen was an important and very much loved member of our family. She will be missed.
