HELGA DIESING Obituary
HELGA DIESING Passed away suddenly at Southlake Medical Centre on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the age of 74 years. Helga was the loving wife and lifelong companion of Ulrich. Dear and caring mother of Yvonne and her husband David Plumb of Mississauga, Nicole and her husband Lawrie Boynton of King City. Loving grandmother to Ryan, Nadia and Elaina. Sister of Helmut Klopsch and the late Siegfried Klopsch. Helga came to Canada from Germany in 1956. Soon after coming to Canada she started working at the Bank of Montreal on Bay Street and she often spoke fondly as she remembered her days at the bank. When her husband was awarded a STIHL distributorship, Helga worked tirelessly to get this new business off the ground. She did bookkeeping and delivery of products right up until the birth of her first daughter. Helga's daughters were her pride and joy. To say she was a loving mother is simply not enough. When her grandchildren were born, she remained an active weekly caregiver. She revelled in the joy her grandchildren brought her. Many that knew her knew Helga as an incredibly generous person. She loved to garden and to bead jewelry and often graced her friends with her incredible creations. Helga was also an amazing artist - a trait that seemed to run in her own family as displayed in the creations by both her brothers. In her later years, Helga most cherished being with her friends. She and Ulli loved going to dances and visiting. She especially loved being with the ladies at weekly "stitch and talk" gatherings. Helga will be deeply missed by all. We love and thank her for the countless treasured memories and priceless gifts, among them her wisdom and sensibility, her strength, her patience and her eternal optimism. She asked for nothing but love. Friends may call at the Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill on Monday, December 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Marshall Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. Light lunch to follow in the lower lounge at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Ontario. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
