Dear Marsha and family,

We were very glad and fortunate to have known Herb as a friend both in Toronto and in Boca Raton, FL. Although our friendship with you and Herb began only a few years ago, we feel that we have known you both for a lifetime. Herb was the type of individual you one wanted to get to know quickly, and the more one learned about him the more one admired and cherished him. We are optimists, but quickly learned that Herb beat us hands down with his wonderful spirit and optimism for life. We will miss him dearly, and trust that you will have the strength and courage to continue in life in the manner that Herb would have wanted for you.

Dear Mrs Goldstein
Ever since I met Jordan z"l, back in our yeshiva days, the Goldsteins have been an influence in my and family's life. I've had some meaningful conversations (and debates) with Herb, and I feel fortunate to have been able to see him once more, just a few months ago in Bet Shemesh. May you dwell on the fond memories of Herb and Jordan, and HaMakom yenachem et'chem b'toch shar avay'lay Tzion vee'Yerushalayim.
