HERBERT BERT OSBORNE 1929 2008 In remembering, we keep what is best as treasures forever With deep sadness the family announces the passing of Bert on July 23, 2008. He was a devoted and loving husband to Jean for 18 years. Loving father of Bob (Steph), Randy (Pam), Donna (Mike), Diann and also Helaina (Rob). Bert is predeceased by his first wife Mary, his sister Marion, and brothers John, Harry and David. Proud grandpa of Lindsay, Meghan, Dalton, Carter, Holly, Shane, Jamie, Ayrton and Trent. He will be missed by his youngest brother George and his many nieces and nephews. Bert kept a life-long friendship with John and Betty Cleland and Bob Patterson. After retiring from Dupont Canada, Bert joined Scarboro Village Seniors, where he made many new friends, playing cards and sharing a joke and smile. A special thank you to the caregiving team at Sunnybrook, his family Physician Dr. Thomas Kerlow and all the neighbours and friends. Friends will be received at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home (Scarborough Chapel) 2900 Kingston Rd. (1 block east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Sunday July 27 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be in our Chapel on Monday July 28 at 11 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
