Hilret Iverna Cato

CATO, Hilret Iverna - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 13, 2009. Hilret was in her 67th year. Loving wife and best friend of Hector Gladstone Cato. Cherished mother of Evan, Hugh (Jane), Tracy and Kimberly. Treasured grandmother of Tika, Kiah, Jonah, Shea and Dane. Daughter of Edward and Violet May. Sister to Lester, Lenny, Thelma, Ivy, Pansy and Hazel. Auntie and Special Friend to a multitude of nieces, nephews and neighbourhood children. Hilret will be greatly missed by her friends and new family from Creekway Village, co-workers from the University of Toronto, TL Kennedy High School and fellow Organization Leaders and participants of P.A.C.E. Canada and the Ontario Multicultural Association. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario (905-844-3221) on Friday, April 24, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church, 1541 Oakhill Drive, Oakville on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hilret may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
