Many years have passed since I have seen the family that was once so close to mine. There are few days that go by that I don´t think of my Auntie Di, Uncle Howie, Kerra or Michael.
I am sad we have lost touch and deeply saddened by your loss.
I will never forgot Uncle Howie´s smile, patience and ability to make you feel special.

I was a neighbor of Howie and Diane on Merkley Square in Scarborough for many years. Howie and Diane were a inspiration to me and my children for all the Blessed years I knew them. I fondly remember all the times we spent in/by my swimming pool enjoying each other’s company while watching Michael, Kerra and my daughters Kristine and Karin jumping into the pool and learning to swim. Mike and Kerra my DEEPEST SYMPATHIES go out to you over the loss of your wonderful parents!

I worked with Howie from 1967 to 1974, riding the bikes, then the Accident cars at 3 Traffic. A great coworker, humerous, with a very pleasant personality. I met him about three decades later. Nothing had changed.
Still the same original “Howie”. He will be missed

I first met Sgt Speer when I was a Police Cadet in 1978. He always treated everyone with respect and in a very friendly manor. As a supervisor he always had time for you and would do all possible to assist. He was one of the classiest person I came in contact during my time on the Toronto Police Service. I’m very sorry to hear the news of his passing. He was one of the good ones.
