Ian ascended into our sphere in Willowdale...Bathurst and Steeles, with such a beautiful
charasmatic and magnetic force for a 10 year old boy that made for a lasting impression.
Only finding out of his passing recently I am saddened. His is a powerful spirit that lives on.
One Love......

My deepest condolences to you Valerie and to Ian's family. I worked with Ian many years ago and of course saw the two of you often at Sandra and Richard's Christmas parties. Ian was always so full of fun and good energy. I hope you are comforted in knowing how much he was liked/loved by so many.

“Raatid”! Ian just up and gone! Whaat!?! “Unbelievable”. If you know Ian like I do, those quotes were some of his favourite go to exclamations. Val, I am speechless. “Boi ah can’t believe”-there he goes again, another Iannism. LOL. Well, it’s “One Love” still. RIP Baalhead.

As Valerie said, Ian loved life and always had a big smile on his face. (See every picture he ever took lol). He had a sunny disposition and a positive way of viewing the world, even when you might not have felt the same way, but his optimism and cheerful nature always found the light at the end of the tunnel. You didn’t need to talk to him every day or golf with him every weekend to know he was a good friend. Many of us offering tributes today know that. Ian was always there if you needed him. We will all miss him.

Ian, who I had known for 46 years, were the best of friends. We went to school together, we worked together, and be experienced both the happy and sad times together.
He was a wonderful friend to both me and my family. His wide smile, boisterous laugh, positive thinking, ability to make others feel good, and his love for his wife, are just some of the things that immediately come to mind about Ian. You my friend, will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Each day in my life will always be with you in my thoughts. And it will always start with, " I remember the day Ian ....".

Ian, my life was blessed for having met you and the moments spent with you at various sport events, the annual Toronto Auto Show and the times we played golf.
You have left a void in the lives of all who knew you.
I will always remember you fondly especially on the golf course. I remember inviting you to play another round of golf after a great game for the upcoming Sunday and you said “No sir, Sunday is the day I play golf with my wife, that’s her day.”
Valerie, and family please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of such a wonderful human being.

Ian and I would take the Steeles Avenue west bus to York University, get off at the main entrance and walk in to our respective classes. I got on the bus at the Finch station, Ian at Bathurst. He always had the biggest smile on his face as he walked down the Isle to sit beside me. Truly a great guy.
That was over 40 years ago. Im sorry we lost touch with each other.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Shocked to hear of Ian's unexpected illness & unfortunate passing. Feels surreal as I am expressing these sentiments. Ian was a humble & decent man, who was loved & respected by all who knew him. I have fond memories of our shared moments on the soccer field & gatherings of friends at our homes or sport broadcasting venues to watch boxing or soccer matches. He was often accompanied by his Dad. He will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew him and I extend my deepest condolences to his life's partner Valerie.

Valerie,
We cannot turn the clock back so we have to look ahead.
In the days to come as you walk thru life without Ian at your side, may God be there every step of the way to lead you and guide you.
I will always remember the wonderful time we spent together on Cape Cod enjoying life as we all watched the sunset over the sea.
May you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone but rather you are surrounded by those who love and care about you.
Always,
Paul Eysie - Boston MA
