I am grateful for the many conversations I had with Ian regarding his AURA work. UCW of Northlea was glad to support his work there over the years. Ian fully grasped the significance of displaced persons and refugees and did everything to support them. His warmth and understanding were inspirational and will hopefully be carried on by those he taught. Sincere sympathy to family and friends.

I'm so saddened to learn of Ian's passing, and I extend my deepest condolences to his family. Ian was a wonderful man who gave of himself to help newcomer families; he helped our sponsorship committee in bringing a beautiful Syrian family to settle in Canada. He was very kind and personable, and we're forever in his debt for his support for refugees.
