Ian Nairne Obituary

Ian David Hayes NAIRNE

It is with great sadness that the family of Ian Nairne announces his passing. He was the much loved son of Dallas Nairne and Nikki Hayes. He will be sadly missed by his step-mother Teresa Nairne, brothers Dallas and Patrick, his grandmother Patricia, his aunts Julia, Fiona and Elaine, his uncles Andrew, Bryan and Rob, his cousins Tyler, Madison, Duncan and Kathryn.

Ian was full of life, with an infectious smile that lit up our lives and his wide circle of friends. Ian was a natural athlete who excelled at hockey, golf, tennis and sailing and was also a great cook. Ian graduated from Lawrence Park Collegiate and had just finished his honors B.A. at Western University. He loved going to Cape Cod and spending time at the cottage, especially building bonfires with his brothers and telling funny stories.

Friends may call at the TRULL "NORTH TORONTO" FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Friday, September 2nd from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 3rd in the BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH (Yonge St., south of Lawrence Ave.) at 9:30 a.m.

In memoriam donations may be made to the CAMH Foundation in Ian's name. Online condolences may be made at

Dallas, never in my life have I seen so many people so visibly moved at a visitation. Ian was clearly a very special young man to have been known and loved by so many, and I wish I'd had the opportunity to know him. My condolences again, Dallas. Having a 23 year old son myself, I can't tell you how much my heart goes out to you. May God bless you and your family and help you all to endure this painful time.

Sincerely,
Rich
