ILENE FRANCES MITCHELL After a brief illness Ilene joined her beloved husband Albert. Ilene was a devoted mother of daughter Anne Norman and much loved Nana of granddaughter Lisa Hadden (Kevin). Dear and Proud great- grandmother of Jacob and Katie Monk and Karley Hadden. Ilene will also be sadly missed by many family and friends, especially the great ladies at Cedarbrook Lodge bingo games. Special thanks to the caring staff of Extendicare Scarborough. A Celebration of Ilene's 93 years will be held at the 'Scarborough Chapel' of McDougall & Brown, 2900 Kingston Road (east of St. Clair Ave. E.), on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 3-5 p.m. If desired, donations to the Toronto Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

God looked around His garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon His earth, and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain, He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough, so He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. Carol Thorley and family you are always in our hearts.
