Dear Indra,
I just returned from holidays yesterday and was shocked and saddened to learn that your dear Mother had passed away. It's hard to lose one parent but to lose 2 so close together is even harder.
My deepest sympathy to you, Iggy and your families.

Dear Indra and Iggy,
Although we did not have a chance to visit with you and your parents more often due to the miles between us, I will always remember my visit to their home almost 40 years ago with Jerry and Anita. They were special people, kind and welcoming. It was a special moment in my life that I will never forget. I can tell you that only time will make the loss and hurt less painful as each hour, each day and each year goes by. My heart goes out to both of you. Our deepest sympathies are with you.

My godmother was a seemingly introvert, kind, loving woman around whom the entire Broks household circled. The life's road travelled by a little girl from beautiful Krustpils to Don Mills was enormous. Upon reflection, I admired her the continued ability to stay in good spirits, to find delicious, beautiful and generous avenues of hospitality in all situations. Mother, wife, grandmother, friend, companion - this is the sequence of roles I have seen her play grandly. In a way it is fitting that she joins Ilgvars (the other half of I2 that turned into I4) so soon after his leaving this world: tethered in spirit and soul it was clearly time to seek those ties that truly bind. My deepest condolences to Indra and Iggy, Anita, Uldis, Nina and their families and the many friends whose hearts Ilona has touched. Baiba
