I only heard of this on Friday November 15, 2013. Like Wayne McEachern I was lucky enough to have worked with "Billie". In my case, from 1968 to 1973.

My best wishes to Sue and David.

Sorry to see that Billie has gone. She was such fun and Bert & I valued her friendship. The last time I spoke to her, she was so kind anad gave me good advice after Bert's passing.

To Susan and David -
I'd like to send my condolences on the loss of your Mom. You'll remember that my grandparents Annie and Pete Livings were your parents' next door neighbours on Leggett for many years. A long time has passed, but I still remember your family and the wonderful friendship you gave to our family.

My sincere condolences to Billie's family at this time.

I only knew her for a couple of years in the early '70's at the York Planning Dept., but she made a lasting impression on me, a young planner. Strangely, I was thinking about Billie this past week - don't know why. I will never forget her glowing spirit.

I want the family to know that I'm certain that she touched many people like me, if only over a short time, during her long life.

Thanks, Billie.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Iris. I will miss her humour, her stories and her accent. She brought a lot of joy to the world. She will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Dear Sue and Frank, David and Paulette, George, and Billie's five grandchildren,

On behalf of the Christie family, I would like to express our heartfelt condolences. We were deeply sorry to hear that Billie passed away on October 19. We will miss her very much.

I cherish the memories of many Nugent - Christie family gatherings over the years in Toronto and especially in Beaver Valley and Lake Eugenia.

I loved and will always remember Billie's confidence and optimism, how she added a touch of class to whatever was going on around her, and how she could always make us laugh.

Sent with love and remembrance.
