Zio Dorino was a wonderful dancer and a great storyteller. He has forever been a part of my life. Luigi, Erica, Fabio and I will deeply miss the twinkle in his eye, his kindness and his affection.

Sei partito dal tuo paese che eri un ragazzo, in cerca di fortuna e di lavoro.
Hai lasciato qui una piccola fiamma che mi ha sempre ricordato che c'eri, ha sempre alimentato il mio volerti bene e mi ha sempre fatto sentire come se tu fossi nella porta accanto.
Ora sei partito per un posto ancora più lontano, ma quella fiamma è ancora accesa a ricordarmi che TU c'eri, ci sei stato, ci sarai sempre.

My dearest friend Anna Marie; I am so truly sorry to read about the passing of your father. I understand now why I have not heard from you; all of you must be so devastated. My thoughts, and Krystle's are with you at this time. I never had a chance to meet your parents; but now he can watch over all of you; no wonder it's raining today; the angels are crying. Siamo così tristi nel venire a sapere del tuo passaggio , caro zio Dorino.
pensiamo a te e alla tua famiglia in questi momenti così difficili da superare
Ho vissuto sulla mia pelle la difficoltà nell'accettare la morte dei miei cari cerando di trovare una giustificazione alle loro sofferenze e poi alla loro assenza.
Ricorderemo la calma e gentile presenza del nostro caro zio Dorino verso tutti noi.
Era un uomo generoso e premuroso.
Sono contento che i miei figli siano riusciti a passare del tempo con te, caro zio Dorino, durante la nostra ultima visita in Canada.
Ora caro zio non soffri più e puoi volare alto nei cieli con i nostri amati ... il nonno, i miei genitori e tutti quelli che ci hanno voluto bene.
Tu sarai sempre nei nostri pensieri
con tutto il nostro più profondo affetto

I first met my cousin Dorino in 1960. We were young men at the time. He was born in Italy while I was born in Canada. Over the years we became like brothers. I shall remember the many visits and chats with him over the many years since then. So many good times enjoying a glass of the fine wine that he used to make and his commentary on the issues of the day.
May you rest in peace my cousin.
