JAMES COAD Obituary

JAMES "JIM" COAD Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Crown Ridge Nursing Home on Thursday, May 12, 2016 in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Peggy Coad. Loving father of Barb McClintock and her husband Ken of Brighton. Dear grandpa to Kevin and his wife Janine, Kerri and her husband Scott Hanthorn and Kelly McClintock and her husband Dan Finn of Burlington. Big grandpa to Olivia, Jaclyn, Morgan, Erica, Maris, Erin, James and Corina. Survived by his sister Luella Munro and predeceased by sister Evelyn Walls. Ever remembered by all the nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by parents Stanley and Violet Coad. Jim was the founder of Coad Construction in the early years which transitioned into Coad Equipment Rentals of the Trenton and surrounding areas. He was a proud WWII Veteran including Hastings Prince Edward Regiment, Royal Canadian Legion (65 year member). He was involved with the Oddfellows Lodge, Masonic Order and the Shriners Organization and he also was a past President and longtime member of the Rotary Club of Trenton. He lived, worked and supported his community and will be missed by all his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay Street, Trenton, on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service to be held at the Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay Street, Trenton, on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. Rev. Ken Lewis officiating. Inurnment to follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
