I´m so very sorry to hear of the passing of Jim Tovey (just now). I was a fan of Hott Roxx in the late `70s, and I have one record from that band in my collection. I saw them play many times at the Piccadilly Tube. I didn´t know what happened to the band after they lost their equipment in an explosion, so thank you for the history of Jim´s life. My condolences to his family.

I remember seeing Jim and Hott Roxx perform shortly after Rock and Rolls Gone Hollywood, was released. They were spectacular and Jim in particular was a great performer and frontman.
I never met Jim but my friend Dan Graham had nothing but nice things to say about Jim.
RIP

Dear Lee. I only recently heard of Jim's passing from Bob. We met for the first time at a mutual friend's Celebration of Life. I was very sorry to know of your loss. I remember well Jim's love and devotion to you so many years back, when he was a rock star. To read about his later life is a true inspiration. I hope you are well and that life is, now, six years later, fulfilling for you. All my respect and love. Peter Krantz.

To Jim Tovey's family,
I have been involved in Ward 1 community activities for nearly 50 years. Jim was undoubtedly the most visionary and practical visionary person and politician that I have ever met who had both deep knowledge about and unremitting concern for this community. He will be very deeply missed by many of us.My deepest condolences.
