TRAVIS, JAMES James (Jim) Travis, 92, passed June 24, 2017, at his residence in Stouffville, surrounded by friends and family. Jim was born July 25, 1924 in Earlstown, England, to Enoch and Mary Travis. A World War II Veteran, Jim immigrated to Canada in 1957 where he worked as a Consulting Engineer in the tool and die trade. A lover of nature and animals, Jim always surrounded himself in beautiful gardens and landscape which were reflected in his intricate art paintings. Jim was passionate about livestock; he rose and cared for farm animals on his property in Goodwood. Highly involved in agriculture, he became the Treasurer to the Markham Fair Board while working within their livestock division. Beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, Jim is survived by his sister Lillian; children Joan (Bryan) Coleshill and Paul (Janet) Travis; 3 grandchildren, Stacey, Elliott and Melanie; and 5 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Travis, Chloe, Dustin and Wesley. He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn and wife, Dorothy May Travis. Memorial service to be held at Parkview Home Residence, 123 Weldon Road, Stouffville, Ontario, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
