SANSOM, JANE Jane Anne Mary Sansom (nee Kelly), beloved wife of the late Bill Sansom, passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Dear mother of Margaret Sansom (Marc Pare) and Tom Sansom (Teresa). Grandmother to Emily and Anna. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law, Dick Sansom (Barb); and many loving Duchene, du Plessis, Kelly and Sansom nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Herbert Kelly and Frances (Kearney); siblings, Dr. Bill Kelly (Margaret) and Claire du Plessis (Karl); and her Sansom family, Joan (Gus) and Ted (Jeannine). Jane graduated from Nursing at the University of Ottawa in 1955. She completed her specialist training in operating room procedures at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, and worked as a public health nurse in Gatineau, QC, prior to her marriage to Bill. The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Meals on Wheels, the Daffodil campaign for the Cancer Society and the CWL Tweed were a few of Jane's charitable endeavours. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring professionals at Michael Garron Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospice, and to the many homecare professionals who took exceptional care of our mom in Belleville and in Toronto. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 296 Church Street in Belleville on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends in the church prior to Mass from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Reception immediately follows. Private family interment service at Victoria Cemetery in Tweed on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully appreciated to the Charity of Your Choice.
