I have just learned of Jeff's passing, and I am at a loss to appropriately express my feelings for a man bigger than life who was most sincere and respectful in all of his undertakings in community, business and in the military. Knowing him since the 70s as a stalwart in the Armoured Corps, I will miss most his friendship and our personal kind banter. A good man who lived and loved life to the fullest, Jeff leaves behind a great and well-earned reputation. To the Dorfman family, my sincerest condolences. Major-General (retired) Bob Meating, RCD

My deepest condolences Faye and family. I was extremely lucky to have Jeff in my life from the time he recruited me through the years serving as one of his troop leaders and his battle captain. I perceived Jeff as a man of extreme passion, conviction, determination, gregarious and good humoured with concern for the wellbeing of the soldier. His ability to inject humour to most situations while maintaining his drive for the objective was especially remembered. Jeff will be deeply missed.
