JEROME (JERRY) FORHAN Obituary
January 26, 1944 - February 9, 2017
Passed away surrounded by the love and comfort of his "girls". A man of unwavering faith, boundless energy, sharp wit, and the most selfless heart that knew no limits. Cherished husband of Lina, loving and devoted father to Diana (Matt Oliver), Melinda (Ryan Bowes) and Karen (Chris Stiebel). Grampy will be greatly missed by Madeline, Caden and Zachary. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. Jerry was a dedicated teacher and principal with the Toronto Catholic District School Board for many years. To him working with children was more than a job, it was a vocation and privilege which he looked forward to every day. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., at Burnhamthorpe Rd., on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, 122 Rathburn Rd. (at Kipling Ave.), on Monday, February 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. In Jerry's memory, donations to Dorothy Ley Hospice or a charity of your choice would be very much appreciated. I wish I had known of this page sooner but I hope these past few years have offered softened your grief and the beautiful memories you have, have granted you solace. The picture above is exactly as I remember him. I have so many great memories of of Uncle Jerry. As a child, letting my bullies know my uncle was a principle always scared them off! My deepest, warmest condolences, and all my love goes out to Lina, Diana, Karen and Melinda. I hope to see you all again soon so I can say this in person.

Jerry was a most special educator. My sister and I had the honour to experience him as a beginning teacher. He left a lasting impression and a love of learning with us. Our deepest condolences go out to all of you.

Dear Lina and family,
My sincere condolences for your great loss. From our days of joy and worship within the St. Nicholas Church youth group I have always considered you as a sister. When you introduced me to Jerry, I saw in him the perfect match for you in so many ways. It was plain to see that he loved you dearly just as you loved him back. He adored you.
The last time we met was one year ago when my Angela passed over. Little did we know that Jerry would follow almost to the day. But such are God's ways and we must accept them. You and Jerry nurtured a wonderful family and recorded many rich memories. Memories you will love and cherish from this day forward. Know that Jerry is alive and healed living on the other side in one of God's many mansions. He is always near by but only in spirit. He watches over you loves and cares for you more than ever.
You are all in my prayers and thoughts.
Your belief in our Heavenly Father and our Saviour Jesus Christ will carry you safely and gently over these rough waters.

Lina and family, all words seem merely a formality, but it is all we have at a time so painful and for whatever comfort they may bring. Lina we were so young and filled with love back in 1975 when Jerry came into our lives, and into your heart. To say he was beautiful and sweet and bright and kind are all words you have experienced in his love.
