I am only now seeing that "Mr. Baldry" passed away. He was a great, kind, man, and my father, Claude Brabazon´s best friend through many years as glass industry executives until dad died suddenly in 1986. After that, he kept an eye on my mother, Grace, over many years, his loyalty to my dad carrying on with his tremendous class, loyalty and character. I last saw him at my mom´s funeral in 2016. He was as sharp and charming as ever. He did so much good and influenced so many people for the better, including me. I am truly sorry he is gone. My condolences to the entire Baldry family.

John was a good friend and colleague throughout my career at Pilkingon/Ford/AFG. We maintained contact during the 30 years since I left Canada for the UK, meeting on several occasions, and he never once missed sending a card with bits of news at Christmas. Jan and I would like to express our deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to his family. John was truly one of a kind, a lovely man and the quintessential gentleman. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

My sincerest condolences to the Baldry family on the loss of this incredible man who touched the lives of so many people.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Baldry working for the Pilkington Glass group of companies. He truly was the kindest and most respected gentleman that I have even known. His kindness for me was very personal when he offered my husband and I a place to stay during cancer treatments at a hospital that was very close to his home. We kept in touch over the years and I feel incredibly blessed to have known him.

Mr. Baldry, you are a legend and will be missed by many!

Gone but NEVER forgotten. Rest In Peace!

I worked as Mr. Baldry's personal secretary at the AFG head office.

He was a great gentleman and a good friend.

John came north to Barrie to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and, also, shared a round of golf at Innisbrook with my husband, Howard.

Our sincere condolences to the family. He will be missed.

I worked as personal secretary to Mr. John Baldry at the AFG Head Office.
Mr. Baldry presented me with an Omega watch to celebrate my 25 years with the company.
He was always the gentleman and loved "his mistress" Helen.

My condolences to the Baldry Family. I had, as a young man to have the pleasure of experiencing Mr Baldrys kind demeanour when passing in the hall at AFG, he had asked what me what my position was at AFG/AFGD, when I told him, he said welcome to the team! Never forgotten after 30+ years. I had many pleasures when he retired, socially, to Golf, dine and joke with him. As well as the " Guru Lunches" at Avenue Road Bistro and Paul Underhill´s house as I always respected him, and he finally said, please call me John, not Mr Baldry. Mr Baldry, thank you for the memories and have a large impact on my life and career. Hoping there are golf courses in heaven so you can get that forth hole in one.

Al, Mark and all your families:
I am so very sorry to read of the passing of your father. There is a saying, "The apple does not fall far from the tree!" Your dad had to be a great "tree" to have raised two wonderful sons that I had the pleasure of teaching/coaching at Victoria Park S S. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers in this time of great loss for you.
