John CRUMB Obituary

CRUMB, John Frederick (Jack) - April 7, 1917 -- June 7, 2012 Peacefully, with family at his side, following a very brief illness, shortly after reaching his 95th birthday. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothie. He will be dearly missed by his children, John (Susan), Beverley and Robert (Cheryl) and his grandchildren, Kacy, Laura, Courtney, Kellen and Analicia and his great- granddaughters, Gabrielle and Emily. He will also be deeply missed by his brother, Don. Jack was a man of integrity and dignity, with strong moral principles. After serving his country during World War II, he went to work at the Toronto Stock Exchange first as a trader and then finishing his lengthy career in the Surveillance Department. The consummate gentleman, Jack was well loved and respected by all whom he encountered -- as husband, Dad, Pa, friend, brother and Masonic Brother. All are welcome to attend a celebratory Memorial Service at Westminster United Church (1850 Rossland Road East, Whitby) on Thursday, June 14th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Jack's name to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
