EEK, JOHN Founder of John Eek & Son Ltd. Peacefully passed away at Matthew's House Hospice, Alliston, with family at his side on Friday, September 8, 2017. John Eek of Bradford in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Jill (nee Davy) for 62 years. Loving dad of Dave (Patti) Eek, Sandy (Steve) Matson and Paula (Kirby) Fredericks. Proud Poppa of Darryl (Kristin), Joel (Asha) and Kevin (Samantha); Mac and Tyler; Devin, Samantha and Brendan. Cherished Great-Poppa of Finnley, Beckett, Kayley, Adalyn and Nora. Dear brother of late Gerry (Mae) Eek and Marie (late Louis) Devald. Dear brother-in-law of late Doug (Audrey) Davy, Peter (Irene) Davy, Paul (Faye) Davy and Terri Davy. John will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803), for visitation on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 2-4 and 6:30 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Westside Community Church (a.k.a. Springdale Christian Reformed Church), 1466 5th Side Rd., Bradford, on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment Bond Head United Church Cemetery. In John's memory, donations may be made to the Cardiac Unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre or Matthew's House Hospice, Alliston.
