Dad
Missing you today on
Father's Day

A dad's love is special
A gift beyond compare
You only know the
meaning
When dad is no longer there.

A special time
A special face
A special dad
I can't replace
With an aching heart
I whisper low
I miss you dad
And love you so.

Daddy's girl,
Alice

Dear Dad,

1.
For all of us you gave your best
And now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts we'll eternally keep.

2.
The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains . . .
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.

3.
Into the freedom of wind and sunshine
We let you go
Into the dance of the stars and the planets
We let you go
Into the wind's breath and the hands of the star maker
We let you go
We love you, we miss you, we want you to be happy
Go safely, go dancing, go running home
Gone home.

4.
You are a thousand winds that blow.
You are the diamond glints on the snow.
You are the sunlight on ripened grain.
You are the gentle autumn rain.
We do not think of you as gone.
You are with us in each new dawn.

Everlasting love,
Alice and Peter

If only we could hear the welcome you receive from old familiar voices all so dear . . .
