John Kozak Obituary

JOHN KOZAK Peacefully, yet suddenly passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 surrounded by his family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Doreen (Richardson- Hool) Kozak. Loving dad of Andrew (Sherry) Kozak, Angela (Jeff) Vogan and Chris Kozak (Tina Graveline). Proud grandpa of Dustin, Madison, Taylor and Brendan. Dear brother of Billy Kozak, Helen Kitchula, Sally Kozak and Mary Kozak. John will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his extended family. The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street St. Catharines (905-684-6346), on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. If desired, memorial donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hulseandenglish.com

I had the pleasure of working with John at Mimico C.C. for many years. He was a fine gentleman and solid C.O. I really enjoyed seeing him at our Mimico Bi-Annual get togethers. It gave us a chance to catch up a bit.

Working with John was fun. I will always remember his stories, his wide smile and his huge laugh.
John was a correctional officer that took charge of all of his inmates. The prisoners knew that the games stopped with John.
He was a solid C.O.
