MacNEIL, John - Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Friday, January 9, 2015 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late Joyce. Loving son of the late Margaret and Michael. He will be sadly missed by his children Michael, Derrick (Marilyn), Marlene Curtis (Leo), Debbie Daniels (Michael) and Denise Rykaszewski (Bill). Cherished by his grandchildren Samantha, Britany and Natasha Rykaszewski, Ryan and Krystyna MacNeil, Daniel Curtis and Michael Daniels and great-grandchild Leah Smith. Never forgotten by his brothers Larry (Rosemarie), Gordy (Sharon), Jerry (Suzanne) and Roy. His sisters Sally Martell, Louise Greene (Ken), sisters-in-law Geraldine MacNeil and Ruth Reid. His late brother Bill and sister Shirley Morrison. Friends may call at the "EGLINTON CHAPEL" of the MCDOUGALL AND BROWN FUNERAL HOMES, 1812 Eglinton Ave. West (at Dufferin St.), 416-782-1197 on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Complete Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Derrick ,Mike, Marlene, Debbie, and Denice I am so sorry to hear about John what a wonderful man so kind and giving. Always a smile for everyone he made you feel so welcome. He made me feel like a part of the family from the first time I met him. Seeing each of you was like seeing my own family. He will be missed by so many people. My heart and prayers go out to each and everyone of you.

Our condolences to the Macneil family. John and his family were the first neighbors to invite our family over for a summer party and an introduction to our new neighbors 18 years ago. He will be missed in our small neighborhood, he was a kind man.
