MARLING, JOHN STANLEY December 3, 1936 - July 4, 2022 John passed away at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, on July 4, 2022, in his 86th year. Son of Alexander "Sandy" Marling (deceased 1985) and Margaret "Skits" Marling (nee McVittie - deceased 1986). He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Mary Anne (nee Dembroski - deceased 2019). John was the loving father of Chris and his wife Debbie (nee Young). Proud "Poppa" to Spencer and Connor. Dear big brother to Elizabeth Harvey (Ken - deceased 2022) and Sheila Burgess (Rob), brother-in-law to George and Kathy Dembroski and uncle to Suzanne, Stephen, David, Christine, Matthew, and Alex. John was a graduate of Queen's University Science '59 and MBA '62 and fulfilled his engineering career at DuPont Canada. Muskoka was always John's favourite home, surrounded by family. Thank you to the wonderful Nursing Staff, Doctor Mason, Doctor Hemens, Doctor Krensky and all the COVID Staff at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital. A Service will take place at Reynolds Funeral Home at 1 Mary Street in Bracebridge, on Sunday, July 10th, with Visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Service at 2:00 p.m. If desired, donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka or South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated and can be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home.
