M c LAUGHLIN, John P. John was Past Master of Simcoe Lodge 644 and Past Patron of Scarborough Chapter (Laurel Chapter 164). John was also a V.W. Bro. in the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario and a Grand Representative to Hawaii, as well as a member of other associations related to Masonery including the Oshawa Shrine Club. Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2008 at Scarborough General Hospital at age 76. John, husband of Laurette for 54 years. Loving father of Paul (Kathy) and Diane (Wayne). Proud grandfather of James and Michael. John was a firefighter with the City of Toronto for 34 years. The family would like to extend their thanks to the nursing staff and Chaplain of 3 Central at Scarborough General Hospital. Resting at the McDOUGALL & BROWN FUNERAL HOME (SCARBOROUGH CHAPEL) 2900 Kingston Road (1 block east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in our Chapel. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
