JOHN RUNYON

RUNYON, JOHN On Sunday, October 16, 2022, John (Jack) Runyon, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully, with family at his bedside, at the age of 85. He always had a very positive approach to people and animals and that was passed on to his 5 children, John (Denise), Mark (Carol), Deborah (David), Lisa (Joe) and David (Leah). He is survived by his brother, Don; wife, Georgina; and her children, Douglas (Lourdes), Diane (Glenn) and Joanne; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his brother, Clifford; sisters, June and Roberta; mother, Ethel (nee) Regan; and father, Howard Runyon. Jack loved the game of golf and was a very talented player. He also enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years. Jack was a proud 50-year-plus member of the United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 46 Toronto. He always spoke highly of his Union brothers and sisters and was very proud of the lifelong connections that he made through Local 46. Many will remember his "Na-Na, Raar!" and the pokes in the chest and the gentle ear twists that he was famous for. He will always be remembered and cherished. It ain't easy, but we'll meet again.
