John Stenhouse Obituary

JOHN (JACK) EDWARD STENHOUSE Canadian World War II Army Veteran 1943- 1946 Royal Canadian Signal Corps Retired from Ontario Hydro 1981 Jack passed away in his 87th year February 14, 2012. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (nee Shaw), daughter Nancy (Maurizio), son Douglas (Linda). Grandfather (Gump) to Jason and Julie Stenhouse, Karen, Marc (Beth) and great- grandchildren Elyssa, Anna and Westin Tacchi. Jack was a dedicated life member of the Royal Canadian Legion (LMSM in 1976). He served as District D (Toronto) Commander, Administrator of Finchurst Veterans Complex, as well as his commitment to the Legion Track & Field for over 50 years. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Scott Funeral Home - 420 Dundas St. E., Mississauga, ON, Friday, February 17, 2012 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of life and burial at Spring Creek Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's name may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command National Youth Track & Field.

Gump - It's been years since our paths have crossed! I recall The "USA Olympics" at the Promised Land and the "Canadian Olympics" at Six Mile! I don't recall the medal count - but I remember your smile. You will be missed!
