John TEBBUTT Obituary

TEBBUTT, John John Tebbutt passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the age of 37, in Toronto, after a hard battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Breanna and daughter Everly, his mother Christine, his brother Jeremy, sister Sara, brother Rob, and his extended family and close friends. He was predeceased by his father Bob, from whom he inherited his love of the Maple Leafs. John was relentlessly positive and energetic, qualities that drew in anyone who attended one of his popular fitness classes, trained with him privately, or knew him as a friend or family. He always encouraged people to better themselves and strive for more. He was a loyal, supportive friend, who asked little of others, gave of himself generously, and loved to make people happy. John found his higher purpose as a husband and father. He met Brea in 2016. Their love was immediate, potent, and deep, and from that love came Everly on July 6, 2017. From the moment she was born, John was under Evie's spell. He took on the role of girl-dad naturally. He was patient, loving, playful and committed. A celebration of John's life will take place in the future once restrictions are loosened. Gifts can be made through the family's GoFundMe page https://gf.me/u/y95wgk, updates will be provided on the page.

Johnny was a bright light in our lives. He was my husband’s best friend, my daughter’s godfather and a member of our family. We loved him very much and have countless happy memories with him and his contagious smile and his supportive personality. His absence will be felt deeply and always. A great loss in our lives and for anyone that had the privileged of knowing him.

John was very much like the man he was named after- my Dad. Both loved sports and adored their wives, mothers and families. That he was taken just as his life was coming together is incomprehensible. Deep condolences.

He was one of the most positive, charismatic, caring, motivating people I've ever known. I met him in early 2015 in one of his yoga classes and he became a valued friend immediately. He always lifted my mood, always made me laugh, and was so encouraging and supportive. I’ve never seen him as happy as I saw him the day he told me he’d just met his future wife and never wanted to be apart from her. What an incredible light John has left with everyone who knew him. I feel so lucky to have known him and I’m sending all my love to his family through your healing.
