I had the honour of working with Mr. Wheler for many years at the OMB. He was a wonderful man; always kind, considerate and with a warm smile for all.

My sympathies on your loss.

I remember John and his father Jigs from the Balmy Beach Club.
John moved to Toronto's West End returning years later to participate in the Balmy Beach Club's Men's Lawn Bowling League.
He was always pleasant and an excellent bowler.
A picture of John and his bowling team hangs on the Champions Wall at the Club. A Wheler Cup was established several years ago as an annual award for the men's league championship.
