D'ONOFRIO, Joseph Michael It is with deep sadness that we announce Joe's passing on November 23, 2017 at the age of 87. Joseph was the only son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Angelo and Rosa D'Onofrio. Beloved husband of Helen for 65 years. Loving father to Michela and Deborah (Chris). Adored Papa to Michael, Cristie, and Andrea. Cherished brother of Lydia Pantalone (the late Mr.Carm Pantalone). Joe's incredible spirit will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Joe worked as a firefighter with the North York Fire Department for 33 years. A special thank you to the staff at Chartwell Robert Speck, his personal caregivers, and a very special thank you to his physiotherapist Steve. We would also like to thank Dr. Thompson and the nurses on 4B at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital. The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.), on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. The Final Rite of Committal will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in honour of Joseph can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as well as The Alzheimer Society. Sending my condolence to the family and Helen. I knew Joe from when I worked at chartwell. He always loved his glass of red wine on Friday evenings and I sure enjoyed spending time getting to know him and Helen. I was glad we got to make their Last anniversary special with the family at chartwell. God bless his soul.

Frank and I are saddened to hear of Joe's passing. We spent several New Years Eve's with Joe and Helen and have such wonderful memories with them. They were also great customers at our grocery store in Downsview. We offer our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Helen and the family. May he rest in peach in the arms of the Lord.
