Joseph DI LISI Obituary

DI LISI, Dr. Joseph Passed away peacefully in his 91st year. Dr. Joseph Di Lisi will be dearly missed by his brothers the late Pietro (Antonina), Vincenzo (Rosetta) and Anthony (Doreen). Dear friend to the late Sam Bruno and Paolo Streppa and his many nieces and nephews. Dr. Joseph Di Lisi became a Doctor of Medicine in 1953. He immigrated to Canada and completed his residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. He will be remembered as a dedicated doctor to the Italian community in Toronto, treating patients for over 30 years. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at St. Michael's Hospital for their loving care. Visitation will be held at HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME – SCARBOROUGH CHAPEL, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E. (Sheppard Ave. and Warden Ave.), on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at EPIPHANY OF OUR LORD PARISH, 3200 Pharmacy Ave., on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at HIGHLAND MEMORY GARDENS, 33 Memory Gardens Lane (Don Mills Rd. and Steeles Ave.). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and/or the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation.

Renzo and I are so sorry to hear of Dr. Joes passing. I will always remember his kindness to my family and all the nice visits we had with him! -- from boating when we were kids to our downtown lunches with him and Uncle Sam. You and your family will always be in my heart.
