Sandy, we have such fond memories of you and Joe in Barbados and your visits to Ottawa. In particular, whenever we encounter something unusual, we say UN-BE-LIEEEVABLE and we think of Joe who we recall said this often. We remember you and Joe as such a fun loving couple. We share your grief as you struggle with your loss. Let's stay in touch.

I can't think of Joe without the haircut - that style that dipped in the middle and rolled at the sides. THAT's what I remember. I think, Sandy, he had grown beyond the haircut when you met him - probably a good thing! I remember how Auntie Vi used to yell at the boys outside her window (and me, when I shared an ice cream with Sport the dog). Joe was just a little bit too old to notice me too much growing up - it was Michael who was the pain! Sandy, I don't know your children that well, but I remember when you came into the family and how my mom was pleased to see a Ukrainian joining the throng. I'm sorry I can't be there with you all, but Patrick and my mom will represent the Robert Elo family for me. I wish you peace.

Be sure to remember the good times, because there were many. Chris you will have so many stories to keep his memory near and dear to you. Most of them hilariously funny, because that was just your Dad! We have so many lovely, funny, happy memories of him too.
Our families had such good times; we wanted to share this one of a beautiful fall weekend in Whitney and then Joe holding the antenna wire so the "guys" could hear the Blue Jays game on the radio..

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
