JOSEPH RUTKA July 7, 1946 - April 17, 2010 Peacefully in his sleep, Joseph Rutka passed away on April 17th in Mount Sinai Hospital. Beloved life partner to Loretta Meyer and father to April and Sarah Rutka, predeceased by his sister Rosemary Holloway (nee Rutka) . Joe was a man with a big personality and a zest for life. With a smile on his face, Joe was always the life of a party and never hesitated to join in a song. Also known as 'The Glassman', Joe owned Serendipity Stained Glass and East End Glass on Broadview for over 22 years. Joe spent his summers at the cottage with friends in Picton and most recently spent the winter months in Fort Pierce (Golden Ponds), Florida. A celebration of his life is being held at the Canadiana at 5230 Dundas St. West, Toronto 6 Points Plaza on Saturday, April 24 from 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. We will both miss you Joe ... from seeing you and Loretta walking over the hill to Dots' place at West Lake when you arrived from Toronto on Friday nights, to my dropping in to visit in the mornings in Florida ... you were always smiling and had something interesting and intelligent to dicuss .. just a great man ...Diane and Ted Belyea
