MOORE, JOSEPHINE "JO" LOUIS September 28, 1921 - August 17, 2022 At long last, Josephine "Jo" Moore has joined her beloved husband, Bruce Moore (d.Oct.2001). She missed him tremendously. They had a long and loving marriage and Jo spoke of Bruce every day. Theirs was a true love story. A retired teacher, Jo enjoyed her teaching and librarian experiences in St. Catharine's, Sudbury and Ottawa. She served on the executive of Burlington's RWTO and enjoyed the lunches and special guest speakers. She was a member of RTO and attended meetings there as well. Jo was very talented with her needlework and designs. She also loved shopping and dressing in attractive clothes. Jo loved music and had a wonderful recall of the old-time singers like Perry Como. Wearing their finest evening clothes, Jo and Bruce danced the Charleston. This was a very special memory for Jo. After retirement, she volunteered at the Oakville Museum and Meals On Wheels. Bruce and Jo had some wonderful trips and cruises. They were inseparable and Jo never stopped missing her dear Bruce. Jo was very appreciative of the kind, compassionate care that she received at The Christopher Terrace Retirement Home, where she lived for 3 years. She really enjoyed all the festivities for her 100th birthday and cherished her cards, flowers and friends. She will be sadly missed by the Runciman and Pilatzke families. In lieu of donations, she has requested that you do an act of kindness and visit a lonely person. A private interment has taken place.
