HEWITT, JOYCE Peacefully on June 2, 2021, at the age of 90. Loving mother of Gary (Karen), Donny (Sandy), and Lynda (Dan). Cherished by her adoring grandchildren Jordan, Jovanne, Jason (Elisa), Alyx, Taylor, and Maddy (Dom), and by her great-grandson Theo. Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald Hewitt, her daughters and their husbands Gail (Frank) and Debbie (Frenchie), and by her brother Bob Philips. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and many friends. Joyce had many passions in her life, besides her children, grandchildren and great-grandson. Joyce loved to dance, bake the best butter tarts, and knitting was her most loved passion. Joyce lived her life to the fullest. Special thanks goes to the wonderful staff at North York Seniors Nursing Home, for their passion, thoughtfulness and most of all, their kind and gentle care they gave to our mother over the many years. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ward Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
