MOUNTJOY, JUDY Judy passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on Monday, November 22, 2021 after a battle with cancer, one day short of her 67th birthday. Loving and cherished wife of Paul for 39 years. Beloved mother of Katie, Jenna and Adam. We faced the enemy together - Judy fought courageously - but we did not prevail. Lovingly remembered by sisters Marilyn Henwood (John) and Patricia Matthews (Larry) and nieces Julia and Jennifer. Sadly missed by family and friends. She was a loving mother and wife, greatly devoted to family, the glue that held us together and the rock that kept us grounded; it was heartwarming to see the abiding trust and love she had for her family. She loved home and the everyday pleasures of life, particularly tea and a good book, and could often be found in the local bookstore, her "Home Away from Home". Her absence will be felt not just at home but in the lives of all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends at the Ward Funeral Home at 52 Main Street, South, Brampton, on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 2 - 4 p.m. Service will be held from the chapel on Sunday at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
