Karen was such a warm and generous person. Her kindnesses touched so many lives, her legacy will live on in the kindness we show to others. I had the pleasure of working with her many years ago when Parks & Rec was in City Hall. I was so pleased for her when she began working at the Flowercity Centre. I know her personality was so well siuted to brightening the lives of seniors.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. She will be missed.

Dear Tony, Angela and Ashley;
My heart goes out to you at this sad time in your life. I had the pleasure of being "conned" by Karen into becoming a lifeguard and a swim instructor. She was my inspiration when I moved onward and upward into a supervisory postion in aquatics. I will always remember her smile, she was always smiling.

Be Blessed,

I'm terribly sorry to learn of Karen's death. I remember many years ago (almost another lifetime) of the good and silly times spent at swim meets. Keep those memories and all the others, and know your mum was loved. elaine

To the Nardella Family:
I was saddened to hear of Karen's death.
I got to know Karen at Flower City
Senior Rec. Centre.
I have always had such interesting chats with her and enjoyed hearing
about her two daughters.
I have found her to be a very friendly
and capable person, whom I have missed not seeing since she became ill.
Blessings to all of you as you go through this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear that Karen passed away. I am shocked to hear she was sick with cancer. I use to be a old friend of her's when we were growing up. When she lived with her wonderful family on Kenliworth Ave. Karen was a kind, considerate, funny, warm hearted human being.  I had the pleasure to call her a best friend back in our grade school years. When we were going to St John's. She has never been forgotten. I have many fond memories I will take away with me of Karen. Again I am sorry that such a precious person has been taken away from your family. My heart goes out to the whole family.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

Karen will indeed be sadly missed but will always be remembered. She was one very special friend. Her smile and bubbling personality would change even the darkest day. I will always be grateful to Karen for helping me though Greg's death. If it was not for her I do not know where I would be today. She would never take no for an answer and for that I will be forever grateful. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Take care
Naomi, Brian, Kim and Greg (in spirit)
