O'SHEA, Karen Akemi Amano, BA, DCS, OCT - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Karen on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Michael's Hospital at the age of 58. Primary school chair and teacher with Toronto District School Board for 26 years. Beloved wife of Michael O'Shea. Cherished mother of Connor and Patrick. Survived by her siblings Mickey (Jytte), Ted, Kathy, Jo-Anne (Les Hopkins) and predeceased by Ruth Niiya (Don). Proud sister-in- law to Mary (Terry Kane). She was loved by her uncle and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at HIGHLAND FUNERAL HOME - SCARBOROUGH CHAPEL, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (west of Warden Avenue), 416-773-0933, on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. Memorial visitation one hour prior to service. My thoughts are with Michael, the children and the rest of the family. I went to school with Karen and then later met her through hockey when Patrick played on the same team as my son. Many fond memories from childhood are being remembered this moment. May your love and your memories of Karen comfort you all.
