PITKIN, KATHRYN JANE November 18, 1958 - December 4, 2022 Kathy was the loving wife of Merritt Augustine, the adoring mother of Andrew and Adam, Jonah (Falina) and Haley (Asem), and proud grandmother of Malik and Mazin. She is survived by her beloved sisters, Keri Parker, and Kristine de Raucourt (Raymond); and her brother, Ryan Pitkin; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mickey Mayne (late John), Murray Augustine (Madge), Margaret Augustine, Melissa Field (Colin), Molly Rimondi (Cesco), and Mark Augustine (Lorena). Kathy was a loving godmother to nephew, Michal Simser (Samantha); as well as unofficial godmother to nephews, Matthew Wardley, Nicholas Parker, and Matias de Raucourt. Kathy was also the absolute favourite aunt of each and every one of her numerous other nieces and nephews. Kathy is survived by her mother-in-law, Patricia Augustine; and predeceased by her parents, Wally Pitkin and Gigi (McGrath) Pitkin; and father-in-law, Allan Augustine. Kathy and her sisters grew up in Scarborough. She swam competitively with the Scarborough Dolphins Swim Club and was an avid ice skater. After high school graduation, Kathy began a long and impressive 38-year career with BP Canada which later merged with Petro-Canada and finally merged with Suncor. She started in the credit department and spent many years promoting and growing the Petro-Canada credit card by designing and executing promotions, organizing and attending national trade shows and events with unmatched enthusiasm and vigour. Later, she was instrumental in launching and promoting the fledgling and ultimately successful Petro-Points loyalty program. She then migrated into the world of data analytics becoming the most trusted and sought after data analyst in marketing and sales. Kathy loved her jobs, loved her co-workers, and was a source of sunshine and joy for all who worked with her. Then, when the time came in 2015, she absolutely loved the life of retirement. Always a fun-loving person, Kathy loved music, attending concerts (she was a superfan of Gowan and The Killers), dancing, shopping, travelling, family vacations, (she initiated our annual family cottage crew week up north), casino hopping, cooking (she was a charcuterie board artist), family dinners, planning parties, driving anywhere, craft shows, penny sales, raffles, Canal Days, farmers markets, and her very favourite colour - Purple. She was a superfan mother to her boys and all her loved ones, celebrating every single sporting event, concert, recital, graduation, and school play with enthusiasm. Kathy was generous without limits and shared her passion and joy every moment of her life. Kathy's family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the special friends and family members who cared for and supported Kathy around the clock during her final days in the community that she loved. The family will be celebrating the joy Kathy brought into our lives on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Guild Hall, 72 Charlotte Street, Port Colborne, L3K 3C8.
