I worked with Ken at the Intergovernmental Committee on Urban and Regional Research in Toronto in the mid-70s. In 1980 he was kind enough to hand me over his apartment in Ottawa while he went to France to work on a doctorate. We lost touch in the late 80s, but I remember him with affection. May he rest in peace. Joanne Knight

I had only known Ken for less than a year but we became friends very quickly. He was always outspoken, to the point, never minced words. He had an abundance of stories, which I thoroughly enjoyed listening to. I always looked forward to our visits. I will miss him tremendously.

I knew Ken when we worked at the Intergovernmental Committee on Urban and Regional Research in Toronto in the 1970s. He was committed to our role of sharing best practice in urban planning and development across Canada. I remember him talking about how the town of Banff should operate within the national park - he must have worked there before ICURR. He always looked great, and I am sure I remember that he was colourblind - and had all his clothes carefully sorted so the colours would match. I emigrated to Wales after ICURR, so lost touch with Ken. My sincere condolences to family and friends. He was a great guy. Margot Greer, Swansea, Wales

I am distressed to hear that Ken has died. I know him years ago when he was active at Knox Church Ottawa
