During Ken's illness his absence was deeply felt at Ryerson. He was one of the old guard, and with his passing goes a great deal of history and knowledge. People like Ken are irreplaceable.

Ken was a valuable teacher and was willing to share his knowledge with his friends and students. His kindness was felt by many. My prayers and sympathy go to his wife and family at this their time of sorrow.

my heartfelt condolences to Rita and her family at the loss of her loving husband and their dad. May the memories of Ken and his life with you all bring you peace at this time.
I was a director with him on the LOGIC Board for years and he was a gentleman. I was thankful in my life to know him.
DEEP INSIDE GRIEF IS THE LOVE THAT GAVE IT BIRTH
GRIEF WILL RETREAT, SLOWLY AND CERTAINLY UNTIL YOU ONCE AGAIN FEEL THAT LOVE
AND THE LOVE WILL REMAIN WITH YOU FOREVER.
My deepest sympathy to you all
I include you in my prayers and Ken as well
With the greatest respect

My condolences to you on the passing of Ken Nelson. I knew him in LOGIC and enjoyed his valued contributions at the New User and Help Special Interest Group meetings. I haven't been to a meeting in several years, and lost contact with him. But I always remembered him and his cheerful and helpful comments.

I first got to know Ken when I joined the computer club in the late 80s. I enjoyed his company whenever he could attend, which was often. I moved back to Alberta in about 2002 but I followed Ken's status in recent years whenever I heard from someone that had been in touch with him. Manny let me know about Ken's passing and my thoughts go out to the family of Ken. I can easily recall lots of fond memories and always enjoyed Ken's enthusiasm. He will be greatly missed, yet not forgotten.
