Kevin MacDONALD Obituary

Kevin Alexander MacDONALD

October 11, 1962 - April 25, 2016

Kevin, 53, died peacefully at home on April 25, 2016. Kevin was the beloved husband of 26 years to Deborah (nee Hallard) and an amazing and loving father to Ian and Daniel. Son of William and Susan (Buck and Ann) of Meaford, brother of Scott, Daniel (Maurica) and Dean (Kathy). Son-in-law to Douglas and Elizabeth Hallard of Thamesford and brother-in-law to Steve, Kim (Terry Hanley) and Katherine (Brian Young). He was a devoted uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Kevin will be missed by his dear friends, the Ryan/Farrow/Harrison families, of Brampton, ON and Collierville, TN. Kevin was kind and compassionate, loyal and humble. He had a quiet sense of humour that he saved for his family. Kevin showed tremendous courage these last few years, a courage we did not know he possessed. Kevin enjoyed flying, skiing, boating, reading, science fiction, ice cold beer and watching James Bond movies. Most of all, Kevin loved his family, especially his two teenaged boys, whose lives have been forever changed by his senseless death at such a young age. Kevin still had lots of living to do and many wishes to fulfill. Our family will be forever grateful to Dr. Anil Kapoor of St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton, who did everything he could to extend Kevin's life and provided a support and friendship we could not have expected. We would also like to thank Dr. Shane Teper, Janany Nemallan, Michelle Warnock of the CCAC and our nurse Harpreet, who helped us honour Kevin's last wish to die at home. Friends may call at MEADOWVALE CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 7732 Mavis Rd., Brampton (north of Hwy. 407 and south of Steeles Ave., 905-451-3716) on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 5 until 7 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, our family would appreciate donations to St. Joseph's Healthcare-Urology,
